Heritage Outing

Brought one of the exchange student in my class around some places in Singapore before he leaves on Monday.

So we brought him to Maxwell food centre and ordered a wide variety of food to share. Famous porridge, fried fritters, fried kuay tiao, ngoh hiang, soya bean, tang yuan, zhu zha tang, etc.

Went to a temple nearby for a visit, quite a majestic temple and it was an eye opener.

Walked around and found how chestnut look like before it was prepared for the frying process. Not too sure if you guys know wad chestnut im talking about but its those tt is stir fried by street vendors and smells very nice while its being fried. You have to break the shell before you can eat. its actually at the left side of the photo. Not too sure if u guys know but i think its called gao lak or sth in dialect.

Went to BrewWerkz for beer after which. Don't really like beer so didnt really enjoyed. We played zhong ji mi ma. My poor Korean fren had to drink tobasco-with-water mixture since he cant drink. hahaha. In e end, we all had a fair share of the tobasco-with water mixture. Taste horrible. Yucks.

Next, headed to Little India for eyebrow treading cos my korean fren didnt know how is it like. My Korean fren did face threading as well. A new experience for him i think and heard from him the face threading was pretty painful as compared to the eyebrow treading. So the three of us went for it while e other 2 were busy talking photos of us while treading. lol

Went Mustafa to shop. My fren got himself cologne from Clinique and I've got myself CK Electric at a competitive price. Great! I'm pleased with the shopping. =)

Ended the whole outing with dinner at Apollo. Dinner was alright but it was very small in portion and took quite a while before food was served. Meanwhile there was a freeflow of crackers while waiting. Lol.

My Korean fren passed each of us a gift and he got me a keychain from Korea. A simple keychain but I thought its meaningful. Nice of him.

Post Exam Entry

Alright, yesterday marked the end of my exams for the first semester. After 3 weeks of long preparation and an intensive 3 consecutive days exam timetable with yesterday ending with 2 papers, I can only say I'm mentally exhausted. The effect still lingers today. I have a lot of thoughts over the 3 intensive weeks but I just couldn't pen them down over here. Probably I don't want to be reminded of the whole stressful period again.

Anyway, was out with my classmates for dinner at bedok then chatted with one of them in the car till like 2.30am? Woke up early today to clean up the house. Can't stand my house, its so messy and dirty. Now that I have the time, time to work something out.

Waking up at 7 plus in the morning just to get to school by 9plus so that I can find myself a decent seat with a power point for my lappy in the school library is my schedule for the week at least till today. U guys probably tink I'm mad but let me tell you, by 10 am, you would NOT find any EMPTY table in the library. Probably you will have to share with others, of cos, without power point.

The lib closes at 10 pm but when i left at 8 plus today, it was still relatively crowded. OMG, muggers muggers muggers!

21st Presents

Well, to end off my updates of my 21st Bday celebrations, here are some presents I have received apart from ang baos from my relatives and family.

My golden key from my parents! lol
A pair of watch from my uncle and aunt. It didnt appeal to me initially but now I like this best!

Another pair of watch. A diesel watch from another aunt and cousin. But its too loose, haven find a day to make the adjustments.

An apple gift card worth $150 from Mike and Eric. Used it to get a Ipod Nano with a top up of $98. Its slim and sleek. One word, Nice. Thank you both!!

Some gifts from my friends in school. Includes a bag, some funny accesories, 2 caps, one from Quiksilver while the other one is personalised with my name. Not forgetting my favourite orange Adidas jacket from Jason. Thank you all, esp Jason! I know it came at a high price, not only monetary but at other costs as well.

Lastly, a Nike Polo Tee from Shao Wei. =)

Jim came over to my place together with gerald and his partner. Called me down to the void deck, tried to scare me but failed. And sang birthday song in the middle of the nite at the void deck. i was like -.-''' but nonetheless, it was a nice experience. Thank you guys for making a trip down. Really appreciated it. Im waiting for Jim who takes forever to send me one pathetic photo which he took. -.-

04/10/07 (the actual day)

My classmates celebrated for me in school. brought some funny accesories and lotus flowers cos i kept singing 881 songs. They also got me a nice bag but it looks pretty gay though. anyway, one of my classmate says i look like a Gucci designer in that bag and of cos i replied, ' i will design your wedding gown for you then!' lol. I would also like to thank jason who specially came over to my sch to pass me my present, a adidas jacket. Thank you for remembering the little stories i used to tell you and im sorry that this present has caused you so much trouble.

Yea, that was wad they bought. 2 separate glasses. one for the eyes and the other for my brows, moustache and nose. n nope, tt's not my eyebrows can? its not tt thick. -.-

Though its only a brownie, but tt brownie was damm nice. trust me!

like exotic food? how about some green eyes balls to munch on?

Thank you guys for all the trouble and effort. Its lame but this celebration was one that came with lotsa efforts. Appreciated it and I do like them ok, except for the flowers, those specs are properly kept.

Celebrated with Paul, SW and Nick. We had a Italian dinner at Al Dente at Esplanade, followed by drinks and cakes at Dempsey Road area. Nice place, nice ambience. it is sure a romantic for couples!

Hihi. School have ben busy and hectic and the lazy me just couldnt motivate myself to blog these days. Anyway, just a summary of my series of 21st bday celebration.

My mum finds throwing a party too much a hassle, so she suggested having just a family celebration while i celebrate with my friends on my own. So, my first 21st B'day celebration was on 28/09/07, Jumbo Restuarant at Serangoon Country Club with my family and relatives. Let pictures do the talking.

Here's the 10 course meal we had for 2 tables:

Chilli Crab

Donut with seafood paste (youtiao)

Crispy baby squids

Fried prawns with cereal

Venison (Hot plate)

Briased E-fu Noodles (shou mian)

mini buns (for chilli crab)

Steamed Seabass (fish)

Kangkong with sambal

Homemade Steamed beancurd (which consists of beancurd with mushrooms and its costs like $42?)
Drinks and all.

Total: amount not to be disclosed but it costs more than $500 bucks.

Hangten

My mum has a 50% discount for Hangten apparels for the month of September so i went shopping at Hangten for the very first time. Yeap, actually there's quite a few nice stuff over at Hangten. And the prices are very competitive, so competitive that I just couldnt stop. Not forgettting the staff at PS are very friendly and appraochable. I am very pleased with their service and I think as compared to rest of the competitors, I would rate them the best for service.

Btw, I am not throwing a party because my mum felt that it was too troublesome. Instead, we will be inviting my relatives to a dinner at Jumbo, located at Serangonn Country Club. Just got my chocolate banana cake from Secret Recipe. Yay!

Just went for my 2nd round of fraxel and moisac. Although its my 2nd time, kinda expect what's gonna happen, but I still get nervous when my doc says ' Mr Tan, we are going to start now.. ' Not forgetting my doc increase the intensity of fraxel becase I told him fraxel doesn't seems to have significant result on the first trial. Well, besides pain, I dunno what else to describe the whole treatment. As the saying goes, 'No Pain, No Gain'!

As usual, I'm very burnt now, hopefully I can recover real fast.

Hi everyone. Life's never been so busy before. erm maybe apart from examination. Life in school is so hectic. I have never spend so much time every week on school work in my whole life. While one assignment is close to completion, here comes another deadline for another assignment. Guess what? I have 3 graded assignments to be submitted this week. Thank goodness I have already completed them, else you wouldnt see me here typing this entry at all. My weekends was sacrificed for these assignments and I din even go out la. Oh, I did on Sunday evening, for a project meeting. -.-

I did mentioned that I wanna be a mugger, but I didnt expect it to turn out this way. Scary.

Btw, Dextor came last Friday and my mum likes him. She even touched Dextor while she has never touch Nox since he entered the family. So biased. Dextor can be pretty amusing though. Like when I told him to finish up his food, he really went to the bowl to finish it!! lol.

Alright, that's all for now. I'm supposed to do work, but I just don't have the motivation to push myself along.

Yay! Bloggie, I have just offered a position as a EXCO member for my CCA under the HR Dept. It appears to be a tough fight cos out of over 30 applicants, only 6 are shortlisted. So I think I considered myself lucky to get in? Hopefully things would turn out well. Not too sure what to expect but hopefully its something interesting and related more to the corporate world.

Alright, I know I didnt blog for a freaking long time. Pls pardon me. School is driving me nuts. Though we only have a few modules but each module, esp tutorials take freaking long to finish. It can easily take up to one day just to finish, trust me. And I mean hours spent on ONE tutorial only.

Anyway while I'm struggling in the battle, met up with Mike to go Comex to buy some stuff. Got some ink catridges, a webcam (mine was spoilt) and a thumbdrive. Yeah, tt's abt it. Next we headed to some cafe or beverage stall if you call it, location: Raffles Shopping Centre. Quite a nice and cosy environment with some water features or you can call it fountain? =X

Mosaic and Fraxel Day

Hi Bloggie,

Just went for Mosaic and Fraxel treatment. Trust me, it damm freaking pain. Even with the 'numbing' cream and injections, the pain was actually quite substantial. I didnt expect that level of pain in the first place.

And of course, the after effect was much more significant than chemical peel. Burning sensation was like dunno how many times more. I was there since 11am to 5pm, and the treatment was only abt 20min. You can guess how much time I had allocated for the after treatment.

Oh well, hope everything turns out fine. It better be la.

Forgot to mention, I looked like I just returned from Sentosa, just that the burnt was much even. -.-

New Phrase of Life.

I apologized for the delay in entries. Have been quite occupied these days with orientation week and tryin to finish the korean dvd series, Gong, which I have borrowed from my friend.

Alright, to prepare for the new school term, I have bought myself some stuff. Of which would include:

My Fujitsu Notebook. As mentioned in earlier entry, its a simple looking notebook which provide the essentials. =)

My Puma shoes which I have bought during the GSS. Well, this was like the only pair I managed to find in some sales at Royal Sporting House. Puma doesn't have it anymore. I think its nice.

Even the soles are cool. Did you managed to spot the difference?

Apart from these 2 items, I have also gotten myself some new clothes and Mike was thinking that I should have spent more than enough on my wardrobe. Of cos, I beg to differ. *winks*

Also, managed to finish Gong in 4 days. Cool yeah? Oh well, romance series never fail to capture my attention. Is it because I do not have it, so I can seek some comfort from these romance shows to make up for it??

School is starting tomorrow, hope everything would run smoothly for the coming semesters to come. A new phrase of life I would say. Wish me luck!

Bloggie, finally got a notebook today at the school's matriculation fair. Well, took about 1-2 hours at the booths to decide and finally decided on Fujitsu S series. I think its a decent notebook to last me thru a few gd year. No fancy design, no special functions like the thumb scan or sth like tt, just a normal notebook. Oh well, pics to be uploaded soon.

A few activities goin on right now so everything seems to be a little messy. Hope orientation will run smoothly and soon things will be back to normal. =)

Yes, I painted my room today. Well, I'm tryin to rush out my room just before the new school terms starts so that I can study in a nice environment. Chose mosiac grey and lilac white for my room. It was sure much easier using the roller than daddy's favourite brush. ( Gosh, I remembered how much i have suffered using the brushing method to paint ONE part of the wall.) Well, still need to get some furnitures. Will reveal the pictures once the whole thing is done up.

The new sch term is starting soon and I guess I better start getting some new clothings before I start to rush for them like mad. Went shopping with Mike yesterday evening. It was kinda last min so didnt get Eric along since he is booking in soon.

Got a pair of berms and a polo tee from G2000. It was on sale so i guessed it was quite worthwhile. After which went to a few places but their clothing aint up to my likings. We combed Marina Square and decided to head Suntec. Well, just when we decided that thr's nth much for us there, I suggested going to Fox and guess what? Hahaha, both Mike and I each got something for ourselves at Fox. I always thought there wouldnt be any suitable tees for me from Fox because of my small frame but guess I was wrong. Lol. Purchase 3 items and get additional 10% off on top of the 30%. Of course, we wouldnt miss the great deal. Mike got himself a polo tee while I got myself 2 tees. Must grab Eric there the next time.

Went Ikea today with my college friend. A new place for gathering I guess. Town is too boring and nothing much. Anyway, I like nice things so visiting the showrooms are definitely much worth my time rather than shopping around the shops in town. Bought a clock at a very $2.50. Damm cheap right? The one in the living room has broke down a few mths back and no one seems to be bothered. Well, since this is cheap and simple, i dun mind getting it. Will show u guys once I put it up onto the wall. And pls bring along a carrier in future. Ikea now charges for plastic bags. Maybe im too sua ku, didnt know it till now.

Wanted to buy a table lamp but unsure of which one yet. My friend was telling me that Ikea light bulbs are ex. Not too sure how true is it. Anyway, was thinking of changing the curtains as well. This wld mean the need to drill holes on my walls again. Not too sure if Daddy is comfortable with that. After all, we paid a hefty price for our current curtains.

I've seen a weekend Cefiro car at SW's place and saw another weekend Audi car while on my way back from gym this afternoon. If its due to costs, then get a normal car will do right? Why the need to buy a weekend luxury car instead?

First day

Today marks the first day of me being a boy tai-tai (according to SW). But my life is far from a tai tai can? Basically woke up pretty late today cos of the long hours of tv on Sunday. Early in e morning, watched some tv programmes in the 1990s, groomed Nox and as usual, after feeding Nox with the good stuff on Sunday, he refused his food this morning. Well, then no food for the day, too bad! >.<

Spent the early afternoon cleaning up the house, sweeping, mopping, wiping before I head for my first tuition lesson. Not bad eh? Finally found a tutoring job. Yeap, hope this student can get good grades under my teachings.

Dim Sum Dollies

Hello!! Alright, Friday marked my last day with my employment. Nth much, had a mini party in the office with some pizza and yeap, tt's it. Also, the new cabinet came so did some re-shuffling and now, the office looks presentable and well-commented by many. However, the Boss made it sound as though she was the one with the ideas and all when I did up most of the things. Oh well, nvm, she can show the whole world and claim the credit for all I care. lol

Went for Dim Sum Dollies, the History of Singapore yesterday (14/07/07) at Esplanade, it was sure an entertainment night. With laughters and some Singaporean/ internal jokes about some Singapore history. Nice settings, great performers, I really enjoyed myself, esp the last part when they start singing Singaporean songs and everyone started waving their flags ard, it was heartwarming. Well, I was pretty attracted to Selina Tan I am unsure why. Probably because she is comfortable with herself (in terms of appearance) and successfully make use of her talents to stand out in the Arts industry. To summarize, the whole 2000 of us really enjoyed the night, and the money is definitely well spent. Kumar, the Queen is the next upcoming event, anyone? =P

hello bloggie!! Know I haven't been updating for awhile. Well, I have kept myself occupied this week either with meetups with my friends or exercising and of cos, walking my baby Nox in e evenings.

Last Saturday was Mike's 21st Birthday and so we celebrated by having a simple, erm maybe not so simple meal at Waraku, a Japanese restuarant at Marina Square. I guess it amounted to $120, there about and it was the Birthday Boy's treat. lol. We proceeded to Kbox after which and sang to our hearts content. We also presented the birthday boy a Fossil watch as his 21st gift, hope he likes it. Everthing ended at about 2am. Thanks to Mike's partner who gave us a treat, probably as a Birthday present for Mike? Well parking was ex because I drove to school that day and ended at Suntec early, the parking cost me freaking 10 bucks!!! I was like -.- Why can't they just give per entry fee and I can be a happy reversible saving on transport. >.<

Mr SW came back from Melbourne last Sunday and the initial plan was to pick him up from the airport, unfortunately both cars were taken up and his flight was delayed. Anyway, met him up on Monday evening instead. Went for a prata meal and we talked about my work instead of his melbourne trip. -.- Accordingly to him, he totally enjoyed his trip and I guess it much relaxing over there as compared to the fast moving Singapore. Well, he suggested me going but reversible has a tight budget to meet. As spoken, it would be years later before I start on my travelling journey. He bought me a ripcurl cap and a wooden ornarment which looks like a surf board. I'm not too sure if its coincidence, he bought me a brown cap. lol. Yes, I'm pretty attracted to the colour brown. I have brown shoes, brown wallet, brown cap, brown watch and brown sling bag. Don't ask me why but I just like this colour.

Met up with my Uni friends on Thursday at Holland V. Yes, its Holland V, gosh so far can? All because they wanna use a voucher that someone has won during the orientation. The meal came up to over $300 for a grp of 16? But with the vouchers and all, each person probably paid less than $20, which I tot it wasn't worth for the food. Nvm about tt, just take note in future.

Took leave on Friday to settle some admin stuff with my mum and as usual, the Boss will always make her presence felt. LOL. I've expected it. Oh my ex-supervisor called me in e morning to see how i have been and of cos regarding the long delay for our meet up. That's very sweet, we had a short chat while she was on the way to work. We have agreed to catch up once I'm done with my work next week. Yay!

Headed to the pool in the morning for a swim, it was cloudy so the sun come and go quickly, not too sure if I was any darker then before. Went for a hair cut after settling my stuff with mum and met up with SW. We brought Nox for walkies at punggol park and headed to urban pooch for a meal. As usual, Nox refuses to eat the food we ordered for him, just like that time when we were at Dogoholics. But at least, no dogs was there to finish up for him. SW tao pao for the little, erm or rather the big Goldie who is having menses at home. Lol. Goldie's finally a big gal yeah? Probably SW is right, Nox is not very socialized in the sense that he kept sniffing at other dogs but he doesnt play with them. He wld just sniff sniff and sniff. Tsk, need to work on that soon.

Anyway, got to head school soon for orientation preparation. Cya guys ard and of cos, I will try get the pictures up soon.

Alright bloggie, my accountant in the office left last Friday while I was still away from my orientation. Came back office this week feeling a little lonely. Well, I had a discussion with my boss today and told her that its pretty stressful working for her and if she doesnt change or improve, she would not be able to get her staff to stick with her for long. of cos, all these were said in a nice and politically right manner. hahaha. oh well, I have always been a politically right person to start off with in the first place. She kinda realised what went wrong and I think now she is in the process of doing som reflections.

These days work has been quite alright and I'm really hoping that it will stay this way till I leave a few weeks later. I don't want to have anymore shit coming in at work. Just let it end peacefully can?

Surprisingly, just when I tot I was under-performing, my boss told me that she is actually quite happy working with me. I was kinda taken aback but of cos, I took her praise with thanks. According to her, she would like to see me back in the office during my future vacation. oh well, I'm really flattered by her offer, at least, I have a job opening for me in future. =P At the same time, I seriously feel that I'm still under-performing and I have no doubt abt that. Maybe because I have high expectations on myself but ya, I did not think that I really fair well in this job.

Hope everything will change for the better. Be it for the company, for the boss, or for the boy (ME!) in the office.

SW finally completed his course of studies and has decided to reward himself with a trip to melbourne this morning. sent him off in the morning cos we have not been meeting for close to 2 weeks and it wld be another week before he returns. So we decided to meet up this morning for breakfast and at the same time can send this boy off. His volkswagen cab (ya my first time taking a volkswagen cab) came to my place to pick me up at 7 plus before we headed to the airport. Had burger king for breakfast before he left for the departure gate. just one pic for today.

bloggie! just got back from orientation. Gosh, it was sure a hectic camp. Well, basically we have games after games. But the games are rather dirty. It involves paint, mud, shampoo, flour etc. Something more interesting was the 'Fright Night', where there were pple dressing up like ghost, trying to scare us while we walked thru the walkway. Pls, they really spent effort in dressing up like ghost that it freaked most of us out.

Alright, as usual, i was burnt by the sun during the sentosa trip and i returned back like a red lobster. Couldnt remember if i have nv slept thruout a day at any camps before but i slept for less than 3 hours last night or rather this morning. yawn.

Alright, Eric celebrated his birthday one mth early on the 9th of June. It was a pretty spacious function room at his new Condo. Guess he received quite a few presents and both Mike and I as spoken earlier, we bought him a pair of zara jeans, I surprised him with another belt from Queen's couture?? izzit spelt like tt? lol. let the pictures do the talking. Check out the birthday cake Eric's godmum made for him.

Well, since Eric was the host, he was super duper busy entertaining his friends, Mike and I decided to self entertain ourselves by taking photos. Nope, I did not drink cos I was driving that day. Just went for a swim earlier in the day and I only look like a red lobster in this picture which i dunno why.

bloggie, yesterday was sure an occupied weekend i ever had in the past 6 mths. First I had a meeting in office in the early afternoon, then met up with my army buddy for lunch and shopping at Suntec.

Its the great singapore sales, dun waste it. well, I've gotten myself a pair of puma shoes. I have been looking for this pair of shoes and was very reluctant to buy when I saw it a few mths back cos I tot it was a waste of money but now when I saw it again, I tot I must buy else I would nv find it again, plus it was on sale!! In the end, I bought it at a price of $70, good deal yea?? lol. Of cos, my army buddy got himself like one Adidas tee, one soccer ball, and 2 sets of dvd. He sure spends more than me. (no wonder he always says he is broke when he is earning much more than me)

After which, met up with Eric and Mike for dinner in Orchard. Once again, we went shoppin and its Eric's turn to buy a pair of pony sneakers. It so happened tt that pair of shoes was one that I wanted to get as well. Since I have already gotten one pair, thr's no excuse for me to get another. He sure took a whole lot of time to decide on which pair to buy.

After Eric and Mike, I went to meet Shao Wei and gang. Went to suntec again for another round of walking and we headed str to vivo with all shops closed and we ended at pacific coffee company. But thank goodness cos my legs are tired from the whole day of walking.

Home sweet home after which. Tired but I sure miss this kind of occupied days which i used to have. It used to be 'Strictly by appointments only'. Lol.

apparantly work doesnt seems to be smooth for me. felt im under performing and true enough my boss actually came to see me and implied that im not meeting her expectations, then accusations of things set in. i might not have given 100% to this job but before i will give, tt person must be worthy of my help. apparantly i cant force myself to go an extra mile for this job, i dun understand why. not forgetting the accusations are so not true.

im equally concern abt my performance as my boss and probably being bosses, when they dun see results, they thought we are just having the 'hack care' attitude. well, ive seen so many in my previous employment, i cannot blame them for that but im not one of them alright.

Hey bloggie, have started my new job since mon. Everything is still alright, still trying to get use to the working environment and all. Not too sure if I am working for the right person, still praying and hoping for the best and that I have not find a wrong employer. Its not really an easy job and can be quite stressful for a temporary job. I must survive through.

I have bought myself 2 new shirts and a pair of new leather shoes for this new job. Cost abt $130 in total. Is it the standard pricing? I am unsure though. But i do like this pair of shoes very much. =)

do you know how humiliating it can be when someone doubt one's integrity? and tt person so happened to be one who used to be so closed to you? I had always been firm on my moral values and thus, this is affecting me so much.

first i felt humilated and pissed, but gradually it evolved into a heartbreaking feeling. someone whom you have treated with sincerity and with love in the past, turned out to be someone who doesnt even trust you now and doubt your integrity.

first i was seen as mercenary, and now my integrity is being doubt. alright, i think this is enough. why are these happening and coming from those pple whom i have treated them with my sincerity, be it in friendship or relationship?

Feet Unbound

Hi bloggie,

its the national arts festival and i just went to catch a film called 'Feet Unbound'. This is a film which talks about the females who actually joined the red army in the Long March. Most pple are actually preceive the Red Army as a fully male orientated environment (of cos i was also one of them). But who actually knows that due to poverty, even the females joined in the 12,000 km Long March braving through the harsh weather and conditions together with the males and fought against the war lords?

They did interview some of the female soldiers in the film and I was touched by their courage to withstand all odds and survived till today, even resorting to eating belts just because they were made of yak. Not forgetting seeing the 'cuter' side of them, singing their patriotic songs in the film itself was an interesting sight.

Well, being a History student, I did learn a little about China's history but with regards to the female patriots who fought hard, I was totally clueless. Quite a sightful film though it was not very well taken.

i have been attending some interviews over the week. I have gotten one but I couldnt agree to the pay so I rejected the offer. The company is gd, well known and established, job is relevant to my future education. pleased with my resume and all, just the pay which hinders everything and the agent refused to 'up' the pay.

went to another on thurs. went through the interview. They say will contact me by friday but till now thr's no reply. Probably monday will be the only hope. I really wish to get into this job. gd exposure and experience, with a change of environment. I'm keepin my fingers crossed, hopefully they wld ring me up on monday, offer me the job with a decent pay. wish me luck yea?

on a lighter note, my manager sms me yest night to tell me my testimonial is ready for collection. In fact im the first to get it in the company. oh... i cant help but to feel honoured to get this as a temp staff.

quite a roller coaster ride today in office.

my manager decided to give me a testimonial before I leave the company. i was asking her last week and was told that the company do not have the practice to give testimonial to their staff including perm but I could put her as a referal. Called her this afternoon and she told me that she had checked with the HR dept and they said it was up to the manager if they want to give and thus, she decided to give me one!! YAY! do i noe how happy I was? Probably I am the first who was ever given a testimonial and for all the 'extra miles' I have given to the company, i was really hoping for a good one from them and now I'm given what I wanted!! hmmm.. i was hoping for a pay rise as what I am doin now has surpassed my job scope but i guess that is quite impossible though. nvm. be contented can?? -.-

alright, after the good news, I realized I made a mistake in a consolidation of data. hi for goodness sake, i save one portion of the data over my master copy of 400 data and this would mean that I have to redo the consolidation for scratch??!! can you imagine that. I was like.... how cld I ever make such an error!! anyway got it done after spending abt an hour or two on it.

anyway this post is meant for my tots. somehow i cant help but wonder why am i the one who always get 'played out'. i really wonder. whether its intentional or unintentional (who on the earth will admit its intentional, if one does, he really deserves a slap), over the past few years and i mean years, i always the one getting played out.

At this hectic time of year a very useful piece of advice to put it all into perspective.....

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar... and the coffee...

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an infamous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between sand. The students laughed.

alright.. seems like im flooding my blog with postings after postings today and i finally found the way to create a title for my entries!! yes, im like so slow can?

Anyway, went Fish & Co for dinner at parkway with Shao Wei and yesterday. Gosh it was freaking crowded in all the restaurants can. I have to agree with Shao W ei that Parkway is kinda a rich men's place with cars everywhere in the neighbourhood. Its one of the biggest neighbourhood shopping centre but i tot all these could also be found in Orchard which is more accessible. Anyway, just some photo to share.

Bloggie... i finally bought myself a new phone on 13/02/07 after spendin donkey years with my nokia 6610 which i got in sec 4??

i mean of cos ive spent a huge sum of money on samsung e700a before but oh well, it has to break down after warranty and since then ive been stuck with 6610. ive stained my 6610 with paint while i was painting the doors (tt's another story) and since its rather old and my pocket is now not tt tight, decided to get k800i instead. yes, its not the latest phone but ever since my e799a which ive spent $870 on broke down on me, ive decided not to overspend in this kinda gadget anymore.

alright got it at $248 with a bluetooth headset thrown in. tot it was rather worthwhile for this phone at least. =)

alright bloggieeeeeeeeeeeeeeee im finally back after so long.. my com has been down so couldnt blog until now the new com frm my aunt comes in...

anyway yes im still working.. n yes.. im wrking in the mio hotline department.. got different kind of calls everyday.. basically the calls r pretty much the same. either enquiries or complains/scoldings.. sometimes i just cant help but to hold back myself frm picking a new call at times.. but of cos i told myself 1. im paid to do the job (includes accepting scoldings) 2. i'll need to learn to handle such situations eventually.

some pple just wan to gain frm everything. if u had gotten some gains in e deal earlier, how cld we give u better offers?? we tryin to work out a win-win situation, not a win-lose situation right?? dot.. some pple just dun understand...

alright, before the yr ends, u might just wanna do some reflections on some happenings this yr.. for me, this marked the end of my army life, entering a new phrase of civilian life once again. met someone special.. hopefully, it will go smoothly from this yr to the coming 2007. been thru quite a lot of ups n downs.

made some costly mistakes.
widen my perceptions.
got my precious driving license.
nox's ONE year old.
made some good frens.
found someone special.
adapted myself to diff kinda lifestyles.

Merry Christmas.

bloggie... christmas was nice this year.. spent the christmas at the Changi Village Hotel.. its more like a 'local' holiday... the hotel was really nice and comfortable.. furnishings are of my likings.. it was relaxed celebration this time...no parties, countdown and all, just a simple, quiet night bringing us through christmas day at 12. and the weather was freakin cool on christmas eve.. took a stroll along the road and it was freezing cool.. for a moment i felt tt i was at genting highlands. i have to give the rooftop pool a miss cos the weather is simply too cool. no pictures taken so i can only describe using words.

anyway it was a nice christmas. had a christmas gathering with eric and mike, together with some friends. it was pretty enjoyable just tt im pretty tired having two celebrations/events one after another. n i have to thank eric's mum for preparing the steamboat, really appreciated her great help.

alright... actually nth much to update.. my face is progressin slow.. so slow till i almost fainted..

work's pretty much the same.. still undergoin training.. its just like schooling.. just tt we have long studying hours throughout the whole 5 days week..

attended a fren's fashion show.. its was a new experience but somewhat i tot i was feeling a little bored.. probably becos im pretty much a practical person.. so those 'outstanding' outfits seem impractical for me... oh well.. but i pretty much enjoy my fren's masterpieces.. probably becos its MY FREN.. =P

dating wise, we r goin on pretty much fine... slow n smooth.. the dogs tt came in brought in more discussions.. haha.. im thankful he's a dog lover too.. =)

phew.. finally found e time to blog.. alright.. last week was a hectic week.. did i tell u tt ive spent one whole day to clear my bookshelf?? gosh.. i have to clear so much thing to make space for my future education.. threw away all e past textbooks which i very much wanted to keep.. found a lot of things tt doesnt belong to me?? like bags which belong to my mum?? n i realised i have so much presents tt r in their boxes frm the day i received them.. i appreciate them but they r of no use to me.. like wind chimes, towel hangers, couple of cups, bottles, those ornaments!! i have so many of them but i dun display ornaments cos they collect dust.. -_- anyway, ive packed them nicely, hopefully they will be of use next time.

im working now.. currently undergoin training.. training is alright, just lots of content being fed to our brain storage system.. 9-5. reminds me of a long day in sch few yrs back.. n thr's a test!!! =(

yes i dyed my hair.. n i look like golden monkey now.. it didnt turn out to be the colour i want.. its too bright n i will only look nice with a tan.. yes i went swimming on sat but it has be quite cloudy these days.. didnt want to dye so soon cos my hair is so freaking dry now.. n i suspect i have chose bleach instead w/o knowin it.. gosh.. fatal mistake!

oh.. im officially a CIVILIAN now!! collect my pink ic on friday.. trust me..it wasnt easy at all.. it took me lots of hassle to get it.. but its all wortth!!

hmmm... alright.. i noe its a pretty long time since i last visited this place... was pretty occupied last week..

anyway.. my bro finally brought his 2 hammies back after boardin at his fren's place for a week.. Nox seems to be very excited bout it.. he always stay close to the hammies cage.. pounce n pounce ard the hammies... at times he'll just lie down next to the cage, like a brother.. watching over them.. the scene is pretty cute.. lettin the hammies out to play with nox?? hahah.. not too sure about tt.. u will nv noe wad will happen.. plus.. its my bro's pet.. so ya.. better not try anything funny..

next, went for an interview yesterday n got the job.. phew.. startin work in dec.. the pay is pretty alright.. and doesnt require to be at the 'front line' so ya.. its suitable for me given the current situation of my face.. n dom's working there too.. i supposed my college acquaintances got employed too.. so i wont be too lonely thr..yeap yeap..

dating is goin on pretty fine.. more or less settled n have adapted to each other's demands and schedules.. so yeap.. let's see how it goes..

Car Shopping!!

bloggie... finally got a chance to visit the car showrooms... my aunt was considerin changing her car so she asked if i wanted to go n i just tagged along with her... her fren just bought a Toyota Wish today after a mth of consideration.. my aunt was considering a car simliar to Wish due to the large storage space... anyway we were lookin at Honda Airwave n find it pretty suitable for us... reviews on it frm a fren was pretty good so we were like considering it??

anyway.. we also viewed Toyota Corolla for 2007... NOPE, its not Altis... its another type... but the diff is tt unlike current Altis tt r frm Thailand, this Corolla is frm Japan... its has a pretty cool feature though.. it has this reverse camera which allows u to view the back while reversing on tis touch screen mp3 player... so cool rite?? but the draw back is tt this car tt we saw doesnt have lotsa interior design/features as compared to my aunt's current Corolla... we both agreed tt thr's no pt changin to tt becos we find the current car nicer n comfortable and the size is of not much of a difference.. plus both cars r frm Japan... so performance wise shld be the same...

thr's also another interesting Toyota car.. i tink its a MPV... has tis very cool door... u just need to pull the handle, n the door just slides back automatically.. and thr's no barrier btw the front n back door.. (u get wad i mean??) the front n back doors meet each other w/o a barrier... anyway.. its not suitable for us due to the costs involved...

not forgettin thr's tis interestin Honda car which allows 3 pple to sit in the front.. yes.. its 3 pple.. so interesting.. like sitting in a van or lorry... anyway.. we r not considerin tt either cos we find it too weird for us... lolx...

oh well.. gotta go back again to check some details for my aunt.. btw its HER carr not mine.. just tt i get to drive her car.. but its up to her to decide... seriously, i wouldnt noe wad to do if i were her given tis current situation n all... to buy or not to buy?? lolx..

TV blues

alright... my trusted tv specially imported from japan n cost a few grands (in e past, it was a big hoo-haa alright?) actually broke down after 8 yrs of service??!!! the whole screen just turned yellow.. n now im watching everything with yellow as the base.. white background turns yellow, blue turns green n all.. n yes, its irritatin my eyes... in my previous house, the tv lasted more than 12 yrs la can... now gotta pester my mum to get it fixed... n mind u, im having my holiday now.. how am i gonna survive without the tv??!! okay, i still have another in my mum's room.. -_-

Syrian Hamsters.

my bro bought a pair of long fur syrian hamsters back home 2 days ago.. i was like -_-''' probably its just the teens 'thing', they just wan to have ownership of something... when i was young i used to crave for a pet as well.. had fishes, almost got a hamster but my mum had to wreck it... anyway those were the days.. now tt i have Nox, i understand rearing pets its not as simple as ABC.. and apparantly my bro doesnt understand my point.. he bought back the hamsters w/o studyin into them.. everything unprepared.. and not forgettin the fact tt he made me his accomplice by bringin these fellas back w/o my parents knowing till now!! >_<

Nox, being a terrier, comes from a rats n rodents hunting background.. we had no choice but to isolate the 2 pets... okay i guess Nox was gettin a little bit jealous when he felt being neglected by my bro and i.. esp when he cant come out n play cos my bro was handling his beloved hamsters... of cos, he rebelled by pooing n peeing in his playpen in front of me, and the pee landed ON MY LEGS!!!!!!!

watched hdb tai tai tis evening on channel 8. a pretty hilarious show with kym ng tryin to 'uphold' her tai tai status while chen li ping was a typical hdb housewife. both were spendin days exploring tai tai's life in e neighbourhood... informative n humourous... too bad it fouses on tai tai so apart frm food, the things they recommend r pretty much irrelevant to me.. nonetheless, i nv fail to laugh everytime i watch tis show... lolx... esp the preview of their NGs...funny.

A Present-shopping day.

its a present shopping day on 071006.. apparantly mike n eric claim tt my taste is too high tt they cldnt find a suitable present for me... so we decided to go shoppin together to find sth which pleases my eyes.. woohooooo.....

at the end of the day, they got me a mesh cap from nike and a shirt frm bossini... thank you guys.... i like the 2 gifts very much.. esp the cap, wore it immediately the next day... hahahha... dun intend to spend today but in the end, i cant help but to pamper myself with a polo tee and a sweater vest... =P (note the colours)

Army Half Marathon.

phew... finally completed AHM(21km) with a timin of 02:42:41. alright... timin not really tt fantastic but still, i managed to complete within the timing of 2hr45min.. bloggie... u must understand my last training was 2 weeks ago n maximum of 16km only... give this situation, im pretty proud of myself tt i managed to complete the full 21km.. wahahhaha... self-appraisal...

so here's a brief description of e route... city hall-> benjamin sheares bridge-> ECP-> Tanjong Rhu-> National Stadium-> Nicoll Highway-> Suntec City-> Parkmall-> Furama Hotel-> SGH-> Maxwell-> Supreme Court-> High Court. END

impressive eh?? hahaha

ran past the finishin line with an overwhelmin feeling.. tis is becos it was my first time running such a long distance which i nv tot of finishing at all... yes, actually i wanted to take short cuts... but tis time, thr wasnt any chance... lolx... n was the first time i managed to get myself a medal!!! the competitions ive participated always ended up wif vouchers n certs.. so here's my first medal!!! hahaha.. n by rite... only pple who completed within 02:45:00 is entitled to the medal... lolx...

tt's the jrt which got himself in a 'hit-n-run' accident... i can just feel the pain for this cutie n his owner.

no, he is not sleeping.. tis is his dead body... his owner has decided to bury him in their garden instead of cremation.. tis stirred my emotions for a moment when i saw tis... if u are a dog lover, u will understand wad i mean.
